Trichomoniasis Symptoms

DESCRIPTION

Trichomoniasis is a common sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite. In women, trichomoniasis can cause a foul smelling vaginal discharge, genital itching and painful urination. Men who have trichomoniasis typically have no symptoms

Symptoms –

• Foul smelling vaginal discharge
• Genital redness, burning and itching
• Pain while urinating
• Discomfort
• Irritation inside penis
• Discharge from penis

Risk factors –

• Multiple sexual partners
• History of sexually transmitted disease
• Previous episode of
• trichomoniasis
• Unprotected sex

Diagnosis and test –

• Physical exam
• Urinalysis

Treatment –

• Mega-dose
• Multiple doses
